Winter 2025 is here, and what a joyful season it’s been at Hub 21! Since October, we’ve celebrated our new name, welcomed new team members, marked milestones, and continued supporting families across the North East and beyond. We’re thrilled to share all the highlights in this newsletter and send our warmest wishes to you and your family for a very Happy Christmas and a Bright New Year!

Our 2025 Charity Calendar was all about the children who make us shine For our seventh calendar, we decided to strip everything back and shine the spotlight exactly where it belongs — on the beautiful children who attend Hub 21 (formerly The Down Syndrome Centre North East). The theme, “Look At Me,” celebrated each child’s unique qualities and showcased the incredible diversity across our service users. You aren’t just seeing their smiles — you’re seeing their personalities,


Celebrating a new chapter, introducing Hub 21
The Down Syndrome Centre North East is delighted to announce an exciting new chapter in its journey, unveiling our new name — Hub 21 — at a special Midterm Family Fun Event held last month on Wednesday, 29th October at the Íontas Theatre, Castleblayney . Founded and led by parents in 2017, the charity has grown from a small group of parents with an ambitious local idea into a thriving, independent organisation supporting almost 140 families across Monaghan, Louth, Ca


Exciting News – We’re Now Hub 21!
We’re thrilled to share that The Down Syndrome Centre North East has rebranded and will now proudly be known as Hub 21 . Our charity has grown so much since we began in 2017 — from a small, parent-led idea to a thriving, independent organisation supporting almost 140 families across Monaghan, Louth, Cavan, and Meath, with our reach extending into Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, and Longford. We felt it was time for a name that reflects who we are and the amazing community we serve
