We’re thrilled to share that The Down Syndrome Centre North East has rebranded and will now proudly be known as Hub 21.
Our charity has grown so much since we began in 2017 — from a small, parent-led idea to a thriving, independent organisation supporting almost 140 families across Monaghan, Louth, Cavan, and Meath, with our reach extending into Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, and Longford.
We felt it was time for a name that reflects who we are and the amazing community we serve. A hub is a centre of activity, connection, and support — just like our centre. And 21 represents the extra copy of chromosome 21 that makes people with Down syndrome unique.
Together, Hub 21 captures our vision to grow, thrive, and shine.
While we were originally inspired by and used the name and logo of the Down Syndrome Centre, we have always operated independently and continue to do so under our own charity number. Our rebrand to Hub 21 reflects our own identity, while we proudly continue to support and promote the great work of other Down syndrome organisations across Ireland.
Same heart. Same mission. A new name for our shared journey.
Join us as we begin this exciting new chapter — together, let’s GROW. THRIVE. SHINE.
