About the Role
We are seeking a CORU-registered Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services on a Contract for Services basis. This is an independent contractor role; applicants will not be employed directly by Hub 21.

The successful candidate will assess, plan, and deliver both one-to-one and group occupational therapy sessions for children and teenagers with Down syndrome.
The role requires a minimum weekly commitment of 3.5 hours, or up to one full day each week (7 hours)

Key Responsibilities
Plan, implement, and evaluate Occupational Therapy services at Hub 21.
Conduct formal and informal assessments and develop tailored, evidence-based treatment plans.
Deliver one-to-one and group therapy sessions focused on functional, sensory, and daily living skills.
Maintain accurate and confidential case notes and reports.
Collaborate closely with families, carers, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Participate in quarterly virtual multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings (paid hourly).
Contribute to Easter and Summer camp planning and delivery.
Promote and use Lámh communication within sessions.
Support ongoing quality improvement and service development initiatives.

Requirements
CORU registration (Occupational Therapist Division) – essential.
Experience working with children or individuals with intellectual disabilities desirable.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
Professional, compassionate, and family-centred approach.
Garda Vetting required in line with Hub 21’s Garda Vetting Policy (Hub 21 will conduct this).
Applicants must operate as independent contractors and hold professional indemnity and public liability insurance (certificate to be provided within 30 days of agreement).
