parent consultations

What are Parent support consultations?

Parent support and coaching sessions can be booked as a single session or multiple sessions. Session are 50-55 mins long and usually take place online via Zoom, typically in the morning. A follow up email with summary of topics discussed and suggested resources is part of the session package.

Dr O’Byrne will support you on your parenting journey by translating the psychology of parenting and child development into skills and strategies that you can use in your unique context and family. Parent support sessions can provide you with valuable thinking space to unpick complex problems and identify goals that work for you and your family.

Some of the topics that can be discussed include; emotional regulation, behaviour management, anxiety, relationship with schools and understanding diagnosis.

Bio for Dr Clara O’Byrne

Dr O’Byrne is a Chartered Psychologist (Education & Coaching), with over 20 years’ experience in the areas of special education and disability advocacy. A former special school teacher and NCSE school’s advisor, (Behaviour & Wellbeing), she has a particular interesting supporting neurodivergent families and families of children with additional needs.
