Support Worker (Work Scheme Only)

We are currently seeking a new part-time team member (via a work scheme), for a fun and varied role assisting our teachers and facilitators, and current support assistant Kathy:

Eligible candidates must be:

• Aged 21-66

• Unemployed for a minimum of 12 months

• In receipt of qualifying social welfare payment

• Available 19.5 hours (may include Saturdays)

No experience necessary, all that’s required is reliability, enthusiasm, good initiative, IT skills and a willingness to want to work as part of a team.

We are based in Carrickmacross and provide free and heavily subsidised supports and therapies to children with Down Syndrome, and their families, across the North East. A passion for working with children and experience of or an interest in working within the disability and charity sector is an advantage!

The role is fun and varied and includes everything from welcoming visitors, setting up rooms for play based sessions, supporting children to fully participate, covering Reception during holidays, assisting with fundraisers and more!

Garda vetting is required for this role (to be organised by us)
